The Challenge

Why North Africa Needs a Unified Climate Front

Despite shared geography and common vulnerabilities, North African countries have long tackled the climate crisis in isolation, with fragmented tools, incompatible methods, and scarce local data.

Methodological Fragmentation

A multiplicity of carbon accounting frameworks creates confusion, duplication of effort, and results that cannot be compared across borders or sectors.

Critical Skills Deficit

The region lacks certified climate professionals trained on local specificities, forcing organizations to rely on costly external expertise.

Insufficient Local Data

International emission databases ignore North African energy mixes, transport patterns, and industrial realities, leading to inaccurate carbon assessments.

Limited Cross-Border Collaboration

Despite facing identical climate risks, countries rarely share knowledge, tools, or best practices, limiting collective impact.

Our Vision

A Coherent, Collaborative North Africa

We aspire to build a regional ecosystem where expertise, data, and methodologies flow freely across borders, accelerating the low-carbon transition for every country in the region.

Our conviction is simple: cross-border cooperation is the most powerful lever to amplify climate impact. No single country can solve this alone, and no organization should have to.

Our Mission

Four Pillars Driving Regional Change

Complementary actions designed to address every dimension of the climate challenge, from skills to data, from tools to networks.

01, Train

Develop recognized climate expertise through certifying training programs tailored to North African specificities.

02, Standardize

Harmonize methodologies and tools to produce comparable, reliable climate impact analyses across all five countries.

03, Document

Build open regional databases of local emission factors and sectoral benchmarks, freely accessible to all stakeholders.

04, Unite

Forge a regional network of experts, organizations, and institutions sharing knowledge and driving collective climate action.
